Logitech Setpoint

Got my MX518 and was wondering what is the point of this software and is it worth installing it? It cant find anything on the Logitech website that tells me anythign about it.

I can use those buttons anyway without the software, im doing it now

So basically no use?

mm, not really tempted by the ability to bind keystrokes. I like the back and forward buttons to stay as it is. But one button that doesnt work is the app switch one, I assume you need to install it for that to work.
