Logitech T650 - The evolution of the mouse?

Pass. For a laptop on a smaller display a touchpad is fine, but I wouldn't want one for a desktop. Would be fairly terrible for gaming too.

I've been waiting for this since I got the Win8 RTM last month.

I'm currently using Windows 8 on my XPS-15z laptop (with a multitouch trackpad), and it's currently the only platform I'd consider running Windows 8 on (without a start menu replacement), as without the gestures provided by the Trackpad (1, 2 and 3 finger gestures), Windows 8 would be incredibly annoying to use IMO. Can't see how the screen size has anything to do with the use of a trackpad. My laptop is 1080p (sure, it's 15.6", but that has nothing to do with the calibration and distance).

I plan to have a T650 for day to day OS browsing, work, and menial tasks, then a separate mouse for when I fancy gaming.

Yeah, appreciate it has Windows specific features. OP just sounded like this was the first time a device like this had ever been seen:

FINALLY, the mouse has evolved for the desktop

FINALLY, the mouse has evolved for the Windows desktop PC :)

What touch support does Lion have? I have never used Lion by the way. My understanding was that it was primitive at best from the last time I looked up the "Magic" Trackpad.
