Bought one of these back in Dec '04. After only 13 months, the 'A' symbol had come off in pieces (rather than general and slow wear). A short while after the 'E' key did the same thing. All other keys are fine. I dont even type that much, but even if i did, that wouldnt explain why the 'A' transfer only lasted that long, or why the other commonly used letters have stayed perfectly intact. Contacted Logitech, who informed me they do not carry spare keys for this model, and that i need to "contact the system manufacturer for support information".

The keyboard was bought locally, but i imagine the shop will say they only cover the warranty for the first year; which seems to be the common attitude of U.K retailers. I dont really want to make waves with my local shop, but at the sametime i dont see why i should have to spend my own money to replace the (still under warranty) keyboard. Any thoughts?.

contact the manufacturer direct then. how long is the warranty? i'd be surprised if it's for more than a year. and given the time/hassle/expense it would cost to rma, you might as buy another. :p

I thought it would be a year warranty myself, but the same keyboard (and OEM) on OcUk, states 3 years. I would agree about the hassle and expense of an RMA, but the last RMA i did with Logitech was for a MOMO wheel, and i only had to cut the USB connector off and return that. Was king of hoping it would be the same thing with this keyboard.

I have a feeling that i will end up just having to buy a new one, but i cant see it being a Logitech somehow. I will contact the retailer though and see what they say.

i doubt they will help. if it's a 3 year warranty you'll have to contact logitech direct, i would imagine. :)

for me, if it is just a case of the keys fading, i'd carry on using it.... :p
