Logitech warranty - do you need a proof of purchase?

Thinking about getting a 2nd hand g25 wheel, but as not everyone keeps their receipt(s), i just wondered if anyone here has had exeprience with claming on their warranty with Logitech, without a proof of purchase?.

Thanks for the replies. I think i will risk one without a receipt (if need be), but only at a reduced price.
