logitech warranty

hello.

my logitech g930's broke about a month ago, the right hand earcup broke out of its socket and now just dangles, i have contacted logitech with pictures and a pictures of the reciept but havnt had time to send them back becuase of work.

now i dont know anything about consumer rights but is it possible to ask for a refund rather than a replacement? i would rather buy something with better build quality than get a replacement.

i know some ppl would say why dont u email logitech, this is mealry a "do you know off the top of ur head". rather than having to wait till monday night to get an answer from them.

I don't think you can demand a refund unless you've only had them for a relatively short time.

If you've had the product for more than around 4 weeks then I believe that the legal obligation is for it to be repaired or replaced.

If they did decide to offer you a refund then it may only be a partial refund based on how long you've owned the product.

I don't know how long you've had the product but you would normally deal with the retailer rather than Logitech.
 
My Logitech mouse broke the other week after ~4 months, I got a full refund from the retailer. Guess it depends where you bought it from
 
Logitech support are superb, explain your situation to them. Chances are they might offer you a replacement and some money off vouchers as compensation.

I've owned a pair of G930's and the build quality is second to none, I think you've just been unlucky.
 
Thanks guys. If they can't refund me fully then ill just sell on the replacement.

When I naught from Logitech direct I read mixed reviews about build quality. I was being so carefully with a swell and they still broke.

What about a suitable replacement? The razer tiamats mayby?
 
Always read Logitech support were great, but they wormed their way out of replacing my faulty keyboard when it bit the dust as I bought it from an Ebay retailer and not a 'proper' one. Maybe you will have more luck...
