Logitech webcam and vista issue

I tried to install my webcam (quickcam pro 4000) on vista RC2 and the installer works fine, I restart my PC and the usual plug in your webcam screen comes up. I plug in the webcam and the found new hardware app comes up. I point the app to the drivers nd it installs the webcam (the progress window shows it installed fine showing the webcam make and model etc). Then I opened up the quickcam app and tried to view the webcam, it then says "a camera was not detected".

Anyone know how I can sort this as its rather annoying? I installed the latest drivers (although they arent vista compatable), are there any hacked drivers around so I can use the cam?

Thanks

I had the same with that camera. Some folks have got it to work extracting the exe and installing parts of the software in XP2 compatibility mode. I could get it to install, but not to run. Check out the Logitech forums, there may be more progress on this.
