i have just ordered a set of these, and just wondered what everyone thought of them, also does anyone have them and has fitted them to a wall, because i am thinking of doing this

I used to have them, before the days of having monitors, and found them to be great. Good sound at a great price :)

Had these for about two or three years now and they're a good set of speakers.

My only annoyance is the length of the cables on some of them, the rear speakers aren't as long as I'd like and the front cables are a little longer than I'd want as well.

Sounds are good on them, some of the best sounding (computer) speakers I've heard apart from Logitech's Z range of sets.

Not tired wall mounting them myself, but Andrew is correct - the front centre speaker can't be wall mounted. The other four can be quite easily however.

I've got them hooked up through a set of Speed Link Medusa headphones as well and they make a very good combination.

i've had my 230s for years now (basically the 2.1 version of the 530s with a slightly worse sub (i think)) and for the price you cant really go wrong, i'm thinking of upgrading them to something with a bit more oompf now but for the price i paid (£40, 3/4 years ago) i couldn't beat them, the same will apply to the 530s

i received the speakers, and have mounted the 2 front speakers on the wall, the centre speaker is just under the TV and the 2 rear speakers are on top of shelves

I just got mine and they sound great :)

One thing to watch out for is the hanging slot on the bases as i broke one of mine but then again i did have it hung off one of the beams in my room and they are quite low lol can't stand a headbutt >.< i fixed it though :). anyway just on a wall i can't see any problems :) enjoy them.

I've had these for about 2 years.

Have served me very well.
They hold up well, whether you're listening to music (be sure to keep the Sub-level down a bit), or gaming.
The speakers themselves are pretty awesome in the fact that it can be turned up loud, but the sound quality stays fairly consistent.

Excellent set of speakers sold mine yesterday after having them for three years about, they were the best speakers I had ever bought. I have actually just bought the Logitech x 2300s and they do not sound as good as the 530s did, very disappointed.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cheap set of speakers and if you want to REALLY improve the sound then buy a sound card, creative xfi gamer worked wonders on my set.
