Just a general query peoples.
I have, in my possetion, a kenwood stereo which is 10 years old. It cost £800 new so pretty top end even by todays standards! I also have a set of Logitech X-530's hooked up to my PC atm.
I remember that a few people on these here forums saying that they got better sound quality out of their stereos (good stereos mind you) than a set of speakers (again, depends on the speakers).
I'm thinking of doing away with my X-530's and replacing the with the Kenwood speakers as a general space saving measure (the stereo has its own little table
). I've hooked up both the X-530s and the Kenwood via a splitter and the only noticable difference is that the annoying vibrating that I used to get from the sub of my X-530s has gone. Both games and music don't seem to sound any different.
I suppose its worth pointing out that the total output of the Kenwood is about 120watts.
What would you use?
Cheers guys.
