Dr.EM said:Apparently with most the Logitech sets the bass with the sub on minimum is still twice as loud as it should be, a small room will exaggerate the effect (I haven't had personal experience with them though). The Aego's have 3 bass levels, hopefully one will be suitable; generally an excellent set anyhow![]()
WotDa said:I find the opposite happens on mine, turn it right down and theres none unless you whack the volume right up, which you don't need to do as they're plenty loud enough @ 1/4 volume.
When I turn the sub to the max I'd say thats the minimum I want it at, its definitely there, but it doesn't seem to give as much as my old 2.1 set did.

Dr.EM said:Fair play, mabye it was a specific set that had the overpowering bass. Really, the knob should allow from no sub up to the boomy sound some people like (our Cambridge Audio set downstairs do). Have fun with them![]()
Dr.EM said:Probably better off with 2.1 tbh. Logitech subs are often overpowering and won't let you turn them down as much as is required, in a small room it could get boomy and nasty. For 2.1, look no further than than Acoustic Energy Aego M. You might even be ok with 2.0, such as the Creative Gigaworks T20 to save some space. If you definately feel you need 5.1, then the Logitech set you suggested will do.
