I bought the logitech Z-5500 speakers a few months ago and love them! But now i belive i am starting to become and audiophile!
Currently i am using when i play games and music my creative Xtreme gamer sound card but when i watch movies/DVDs i switch over to my onboard sound via the optical out.
Basically what sound card gives the best performance (in terms of sound quality) i was looking at ordering the Auzentech X-Plosion DTS Connect 7.1 Sound Card. As it has dolby digital out on all the sound. I can definitely hear the difference between listening films on analogue and then on digital as of course far less static/white noise. But playing games and music i have it up loud enought to drown that out.
So is it worth me getting the X-Fi Explosion with Dolby Digital or stick with what i got - as will i hear the difference if i am always using digital sound?
Also i will be going down the blu-ray route in a few months any considerations i should take in?
Thanks to all who replay and read this
Any websites i can read up on as well about sound?
