Logitech Z-680 any good ?

As title. I been looking into buying some Z 5500's but its a bit out of my budget.
I can get hold of the Z-680's for £100, is it worth it?

I have had the z-680s for a few mouths now and there amazing, its well worth it if you can get a set for £100, I got mine for £123. When they came out about 3years ago they cost around £240. People say they cannot notice much diff in sound quality between the z680 and z550.

So I say go for it you wont be dissapointed. Just give it about 2weeks of normal use so the speaker/sub drivers can loosen up before you crank up the volume.

Think I should add that they are second hand, still ok?

I think for £100 its abit much, cos my set were £123 and brand new, Plus how well have they been looked after? how old are they? how often have they been used at high volume?

Hmm yea, they look mint, but impossible to tell obv. Think I'll skip and just buy new ones.

For £20ish it's not really worth it , ill just get them new

Have you found them for £120 new then? The place that were doing that particular offer says 'out of stock and discontinued' at the moment.

I have had the Z680s for over 3 years, an excellent set of 5:1 speakers, in this time I have not tired of them. I actually paid £270 for mine when I bought them, quite a bit, so for £123 a real bargain.

In over 3 years the only thing that happened was a fuse blew, which Logitech Support posted out a replacement for.

i think they were the same, i seem to remember z5500's been at £300 in some places and they still are in some places too!, i have even seen the Z680 still been sold at £200 :eek:

The Z680s were out before the Z 5500's, and I think (if I remember correctly, but maybe stand corrected) the Z5500's were actually the replacements for the Z680s. But really very little difference in them.

exept the bigger subwoofer with 10" driver and a better look, and is there 5 extra watts lol?
