I got a set of 2.1 Logitech Z4 speakers along with an Asus Xonar DS sound for christmas yesterday and i'm having a bit of an issue with one of them. Yesterday i just plugged the speakers into my onboard sound like my old ones and everything worked fine.

However, i just disabled my onboard sound and installed the Xonar DS card. I installed the drivers and everything seemed fine except that im now getting quite a lot buzz out of the speakers at all times.

I just uninstalled and removed the Xonar card and went back to my onboard sound and the buzzing is gone.

Is that indicative of a duff Xonar card? Should i get it replace or is it likely that the speakers and card are simply incompatible?

Thanks.

Couple of things i would try first

- Check the Xonar is seated properly ( not likely )
- Maybe the Connection on Z4 were iffy and changing back to z4 fixed that ( i had this problem with my Z4 as i own a set)
- If it still persistent try an RMA

Try reseating the card as Chrisw125 said. I have the DS, not long back it made a few weird noises before Windows imformed me it was no longer present. I reseated the card, and it's been fine ever since.
