hi guys,

i've currently got a set of x-530s which have served me well. however the subwoofer and rear left speakers don't seem to work anymore. not sure if it's easily fixable or not but i don't know much about this area of pc hardware so i figured the easiest thing would be to just get some new speakers. the Z506's look good and have good reviews, but would they be much of an upgrade from the x-530s? i'm interested in feedback from people which own them, or have themselves upgraded from x-530s

also it sounds petty but, what colour is the power LED on the Z506? i'm kinda OCD about these things and i'm hoping it's blue

hey bud,

a mate had the x530s and they werent a bad set ,

however i splashed out a little and went the z5500 and they blew me away .. for the price ( around £200 at the time )

Finally got round to setting my z506's up and I can confirm the power led is orange - its very weak orange though... not sure if that is the norm :D

Oh yeah; can any one confirm that I would be able to use my 360 elite with these speakers? What cables would I need etc? I currently have the 360 connected to my tv via hdmi :)
