Logitech Z5500 Effects

Just wondering what effects people use on these speakers.

I use 6 Ch Direct for everything. Do people actually use the DD stuff when watching movies or listening to music?

I use my Z5500s with X-Fi Fatility btw, any specific settings on there anyone uses? Think they improve the quality?

I have an x-fi and I prefer watching movies via optical rather than direct 6ch. Also, I prefer optical for music... I only use direct for EAX.
