Logitech z5500 fuse.

Had a power cut sunday and when the power came back on it blew my fuse on my z5500,had a look on logitech's site and the fuse is £2 which is nice and cheap for a fuse but....the shipping is £9 !

Anyone know or used another fuse for the speakers please,its the fuse in the sub that has blown.
 
As long as you get the right size/rating it will be fine, and from a quick search you're after 20mm 2A slow-blo (time delay) rated for UK mains (240V AC) use. You can probably pick some up locally from a well known high street electrical/gadget store or electrical wholesalers.

Edit: £2 for a single fuse?

Edit2: If you don't mind waiting a couple of days, trust me your address and I can post a couple to you.

I have sent Logitech a e mail regarding there price for a fuse :)
 
Hi, no problem :) I've got your trust message and will try to put a couple in the post tomorrow. I need to get to a post box anyway to claim a rather large backlog of work expenses.
 
Fuses turned this morning and working fine,thank you very much for your time sending them.

Just need to contact Logitech again and ser what they have got to say.
 
Well,after a well worded e-mail to Logitech i got a reply.

They are willing to send me a fuse for nothing,told them i don't need it now :)

I didn't contact them to get something for nothing,i was willing to purchase the fuse but £9 shipping was taking the pee,i just gave them some well constructed feedback on there prices,hopefully they will listen (but doubt it).
 
Sorry mate. Looks like I missed this thread. I could have sorted you out with a fuse or two, no problem.

Good that wonko managed to send you some and also that you got it sorted.

Hi Tealc,yes im all sorted now,not up on what fuse to use unless it's a 13amp lol.

I remember reading this thread few weeks ago I have just found four fuses I brought few years ago, I have no need for them as don't own my Z5500 anymore.
If you want them for free send me trust message I will only end up throwing in them in bin seems like a waste! (especially after the epic mission I went threw trying to find a shop in Oxford that sold them)
