Hiyo all,

Got these Z5550s not too long ago and im mighty impressed with them. However, im wondering what setups your using for gaming. Personally i dont have a creative soundcard, so no EAX. I was thinking about maybe getting a cheap audigy 2 or similar if its a worthy purchase.

Im struggling to find a decent setup for games as it is. Its not bad per se, but i feel i could get more. Im using the Bioshock demo as my benchmark really. And im using the direct input, with 6ch direct as my effect. If i use the dolby ones all of the sound behind my head disappears.. which i didnt like.

So what do you guys recommend?

Any help is much appreciated.

Don't get the Xtreme Audio; you want either the Gamer or Music. The main advantage over onboard sound cards is the EAX effects, CMSS-3D and a few other things. I think it's worth getting one, because you're probably missing out without it.
