Logitech Z906 Successor

Doubt it. Z5500 were around for 11-12 years when Logitech announced the Z906 to replace them. Z906 have been around 6 years, so half as long as the Z5500.

The choice of 5.1 PC speakers has been declining for a few years now. Logitech has just the 2 now, compared to many more years ago; Creative just the one set I believe. I remember when Creative did a lot more.

For whatever reason, the interest isn't there like it once was. Maybe more gamer's are using headphones now rather than surround speakers, and there have been a number of low budget AV receiver + 5.1 speaker packages in more recent years, which may have added to 5.1 PC speaker sales decline.

yup if you get a AVR and speakers you have flexibility, improved sound, more inputs. Choose whatever speakers, subwoofer and AVR you like. You can get budget AVR's for £150, a cheap 5.1 speaker system for about £300, or just go stereo for £50-£100
