I have had a new ms notebook mouse for a few weeks now, I love the zoom function (please no basic instinct jokes), its really great when I connect my lappy upto my 32" lcd tv and find certain web pages hard to read, I just zoooooooooooooooooom 
the thing is my desktops mx510 is falling apart and I really like the look of the mx1000, does logitechs zoom work aswell as microsofts?
also does anyone know the range of the mx1000's wireless
