Hi all.

I recently bought a Logitech z906 surround system to connect to my gaming pc and tv.
I have had issues getting it all setup hence this thread i made.

I connect the subwoofer too my Logitech main receiver{not sure on the name}.
I then connect the 6 pin connector too the rear of my subwoofer then too the rear of my pc{which is color codded differently....great}.
I have ordered an optical cable as i will hopefully then be able too hook it up to my tv correctly.
I just can't get surround sound working.
I use a msi gaming pro carbon ac motherboard.
The speakers just aint working all of them, if i get them working at all the sounds seems to come from, the front 2 satellite speakers mainly.
Any help will be great.
And also have some serious lag issues with a Logitech mouse and keyboard combo i bought mk270.
Constant lag and delay, they was find since i bought them but recently something must be interfering with them.
I have changed batteries.

There are three things you need to do:

1. Make sure that the sound card/motherboard audio is set to 5.1 surround sound in the OS and the connection, whether through stereo between each of the three outputs to the back of the bass unit, or via Coax, or through Optical.
2. The Receiver that you were talking about, has around 6 channels for audio input (stereo, surround via 3x stereo, 2x separate optical inputs, 1x coax, and 1 Aux line in on the side of the Receiver), and needs to be switched to the channel that audio is hooked up to. So if you are using Optical, it can only be of the two Optical inputs, which I think is 3 and 4 on the receiver, so make sure that they are the ones in use and highligheted.
3. Finally, make sure (depending on the audio connection you're using, optical, coax, etc) to turn off any "effects" on the Receiver. 3D, 4.1 and 2.1 needs to be all off. Decode can be on if 5.1 is coming via Optical or Coax, but if using the 3x input on the back of the bass unit, then this Decode light doesn't come on I believe.

That should get the speakers working in 5.1 instead of virtual 5.1 (which is why it's coming from front speakers only).

Can confirm as I'm having issues with mine and this was one of them, on the little box that goes on top where it says "STEREO", all the options such as 3D, 4.1 etc should not be lit up. Keep pressing the effect button until they're all off and this may resolve it. I also use an optical cable to connect to my TV and just press input to switch so you're onto something good there.
