well, all working with hamachi on the home network, no reason to think it won't work when I'm on the work network is there?

For what its worth I'd be going into my home pc from the work network, do you think the work firewall etc might have issues with that?

Mind you our IT manager is a d*** so I could probably just tell him to sort it

Ethics, it's basically a very very basic chat program that you login to, then create a network with a password, it initiates the connection (to the hamachi servers) and links directly to the peers on your network

basically it's a hassle free vpn that works around routers no problem

-depending how the internet is setup your work as to whether it'll work or not. ask your it guy to sort it for you (although this does pose a slight security risk -ie your pc at home may have a virus that could get to your laptop at work, etc)

if it's an ISA server, then you'll need him to sort it, if it's a kerio managed windows firewall box then it'll probably just go around it as it goes out first
