Logo Contest Websites

Hi All

I'm looking for a logo for my website.

Has anyone used "Logo Contest" websites. Where you set a price and then everyone who wants to design for you sends you logos then you get to pick one?

I think the concept seems great, rather than just 1 person working on a design. However I just wanted a bit of feedback to see if anyone had used this type of service and what was your experience?

If you're really short on cash and just want a cheap generic logo, go for it.

If you have the money and want something that will symbolise your company, then get a proper designer to do it.

I find that it depends on the individual contest. Some end up with a pile of rehashed garbage, others end up with a pretty decent design.

Obviously pros don't like them as they are taking a lot of work away from them, but for small online/offline businesses with smaller budgets than the big boys, then I think they are a pretty decent solution.

could use ocuk forum members they had great sucess with there new shop logo but i guess you should ask admin if its ok tho
