How quickly can you get in trouble for logos like these?..

Logos's are seen as a sign of identity and some owners defend them very rigourously. I think it's different enough not to worry about the London Underground sueing you but it is still plagiarism. On a side note I know someone who go into serious trouble for plagiarising the London Underground logo.

Obviously I would never take it that far and would stop using the logo if anyone objected. I am not necessarily going to use it but, was just wondering.

Sometimes it can be hard to say a logo has been plagiarised as people have been known to come up with very similar idea's.

Use a Vector based package for designing the logo btw ;)

if i remember correctly you arent infringing copyright because it is a different original design, however if it is trademarked then it must be suitably different, and given that you are aware that it is similar you might find your breaching their trademark (if they registered it as a trademark) and would therefor be inforceable, if they choose to.

(please correct me if im wrong)

Its also fair to say that if they have persued their trademark in the past, it is likly they would should they see this design as if a later case arose the defendant might inquire as to why they didnt persue this case, however i am not a lawyer but have heard of an example of this in the past.
