Logo design for a charity

Hiya all,

Been after a logo suitable for a charity, was thinking along the lines of something that dipicts "community" like a group of a people but having a hard time finding any suitable images.

Anyone have any idea's as to what could be done to best reflect the fact its for community support ?

Logo dimensions need to be within 800w x 170h if anyone has any idea's.

Would that be more of a banner than a logo being 800x170

idea what about a collage of faces which make up the shape of the area it covers

might have some privacy issues with some people though, could do that with just black/coloured face/head shapes. Not quite sure how that would look though.

I would say stay away from the hands cupping/holding etc as this is pretty overused in my view.

what about if you got some friends to pose as if there holding up some large letters which could be added to a graphic so it looked like they were bringing together the word community

not so much about wording, just a graphic to depict "community" like a group of people etc, the charity name and logo would be added after.
