Logon Password for Macs......

Hi all, do Mac's have some secret admin username and passwords? We've got 2 macs at our work which were used by staff who have left but we don't know the passwords to get onto them.

Anyone know of any way (other than formating them, as we don't have any discs either) of getting into them as I want to use one!

If you boot from the OS disk, you can reset the admin password through there and away you go.

I don't know a way without the OS disk though.

Damn, we don't have any of the discs. Looks like I might have to purchase a new copy of the OS

Try the method listed in option 2 Use something like 1234 as the password(it won't show being typed)
Used it yesterday on a mini mac and it worked perfect
