Logo's

hiya there
may seem a strange question but does anyone know if there is a simple website (free) or an application i could use to create a very simple logo
its to be used on a non profit website
the website is run on a cms platform and would like the colours of the logo to match the backgrounds css
i have no design experience so wouldnt know where to start on creating my own
its only text i want as the actual logo and no images
any ideas guys?

Google for GIMP, it is free.

Although if you have no design experience I would suggest just asking someone who can use Photoshop to help you out and knock something up for you.

If you gogole something along the lines of 'web 2.0 logo tutorial' and you can usually down the source photoshop files and just edit the text.
