So I was interested in buying this bed.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171192799192&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I could not quite make out the colour of the bed from the photo so I asked this question.

Is it a darker blue than in the first photo as the picture you have put up looks a lot darker then the blue in the stock photo.

This is what I got back

look it is a turquoise colour the photo has a yellow hue the photo taken off web is photoshopped. if the tonality of the colour is of such importance i suggest you do not bid.

I did not think it was so unreasonable to ask about the colour but obviously the seller does and has probably caused away the only fool that would buy a used bed for over £2k:eek:

lol I did not expect this tread to still be alive.

I did not notice she was czech, someone should ask her the following question.

Dobrý den, je vaše postel tmavě modrá, světle modrá nebo žlutá?

my Czech is a bit crap!

lol well the bed did not sell.

To the people asking why I would buy a used bed, its not really used she claims it unused.

It is to go into a bedroom that will never be used unless we have visitors.

And regarding the cost, £1.5k for anything from poliform is actually a good price. Itilian furniture is expensive. A good mattress on its own can cost that much.

Of course it can cost that price for a mattress/bed, it's called being overpriced tat.

I wish I could think of an idea that I could make 'exclusive' and sell a few hundred quid items for thousands. I bet companies like that sell one bed then take a month of work lol

I will give you that at a point it starts to be over priced but the difference between the quality of workmanship and materials on expensive furniture and cheaper stuff is huge.

Its the little details that really make the difference. For exmaple in this this kitchen a lot of effort has been put in to bookmatch the veneer (ok its a ugly kitchen). You will never find that in a Ikea or cheap off the shelf kitchen.

Again a cut above normal hughstreet brands.

I do agree when you start buying Boffi, roche-bobois, b b italia prices can start to get a little silly but may people want to have unique and different furniture in their house.

Again unique can become a little silly, such as much of the ligne roset collection.
