lol at this insanity..

Sometimes retailers will put silly prices on stuff temporarily for various reasons though its usually 9999.99 to stop people buying them. (Slightly backfires when the original price was £25,000 as I saw happen once at work).

Looks like AMD are calling them and they should do.

You think a retailer can charge what they like but not true.

I told Mira Rep in my home about B&Q rip off price for the Gold Shower over White one and I cannot remember the price difference now but he nearly fainted in my bathroom and said he would get his boss to call B&Q as that is not on.

All I know is the price was dropped by the next week.

Sometime even here shops put in silly prices as placeholders till its updated.

This is nothing.
I was browsing a 'certain auction site' and found a buyout offer from a retailer for 770 classy, price was at around 2.5k £. Thing is retailers often use some weird auction tools and they bug all the time. Seen it plenty of times.

As mentioned most likely a place holder price, though why somewhere as big as newegg would need to do so I don't know. You'd be cheaper booking flights to the UK and picking a pallet load of them up from Ocuk :p

Is this not the done thing, when there is no stock?

It stops folk buying without having to change the whole advert? Then when stock comes in they reduce the price and only have to change one thing instead of all of it?
