I just upgrade my rig yet I dont play games, I know I WILL get a 9800 series GPU and Penryn even if I dont play any games, I'll just benchmark, I enjoy that but its all over so quickly :(.

Sounds like you need to find something to spend your money on that isnt waste, or invest in a savings account....

Or just give your money to charity or something. If your just gonna waste it on stuff you dont need then try to brag about it, you need to rethink your life a bit. £200 is a lot of moeny to some people...

I think I don't play PC games so much anymore because I find there is not much variety, most of the best games are FPS.

Pc gaming has massive variety you are just bored in general with pc gaming happens to us all sometimes i get the urge to play a game fire it up and find myself quiting out 5 minutes later.
It's just too much of one thing scenario.

Have you got a problem with people wanting to benchmark to get the best possible scores? Its a hobbie.

Saving account? But then monies would just be stuck in an account for ages, not much use there, I want to spend it on my PC and my bicycle.

nah, ive no problem with what people do with there own money. After all, it theirs. My issue with this thread is not that its about someone buying kit for no real reason, but that its basically someone sayin "Woo, I just wasted £200, tell me im uber awsome!", which is just a bit sad...

Well i do an extreme amount of PC gaming but well, my money was wasted on the GT too, Crysis was completed on my old GTS with fair framerates, and now i'm back to WoW which doesn't require any kind of a good graphics chip. Giving it to my brother as a christmas present and borrowing a 8600GTS just for WoW, spending too much money on music anyway.
