An excessively large gpu in a small case.

Recently got a twin frozer gpu but due to this case's poor cooling I thought the reference would be better suited

Will need a new modular psu and the pcie connectors only just fit

Dumb question but why are they so big? My 5850 is massive. Do they really need to be that big in order to function properly?

I know, cpus have kept the same footprint for almost 25 years.

graphics cards were massive shrank in the isa days, shrank a lot in the pci/agp and very early pcie days and now have overdosed on graphic card Viagra sometime around when the 8800 series of cards came out.

It's a gd06 silverstone

And the gpu is a 6950, it may well get too hot, but I couldn't find any reference 6870s
