Hi people,

Myself and my girlfriend are going to London on thursday for 4 nights. We're going over because she's doin the Gamsat exam. Reason for leaving accommodation so late is that she only got the letter saying where the exam was being help a few days ago.

Now comes the problem of finding accommodation :(

The exam is being help just beside the Russell Square tube station, and she needs to be there at 8am so we don't want something too far away.

Also, the main thing is, I'm not sure what parts in London are nice and too expensive to even bother looking for accommodation in, and which areas are just dodgy and should be avoided!?

So any tips on areas that are kinda close (to Russell Square) and not too expensive, but also not too dodgy and rough.Want to have a nice few days as a little holiday aswell.

TL;DR - Nice cheap area to look for accommodation close to Russell Square.

Thank you

Get a hotel in central london (zone 1). It will be more expensive than a place further away, but for all the hassle, its easier just to get a hotel quite near to the exam centre.

Erm get a hotel in/near Russell Square tbh...

If that is out of budget then perhaps try travel lodge etc.. near kings cross.

Slighty off thread but good luck with the GAMSAT. Its a mental paper, long as you like with some really weird questions in. I did it a couple of yeas ago, passed fine but came out feeling like I had been in a war. Make sure you have nice things (choc's et al) ready for her and a back rub for sure. Other than than that it will be fine.
