Hi all, me and a friend (Both students) want to go to the purepwnage premiere coming to london in July, we are both prety broke, and are so far finding it far to expensive to get from Lincoln to London by train, as its between £60 - 100 each for a return ticket.

We have found that we can travel on bus for £32, each return, but it takes 5 - 6 hours to actualy arive!

My question thusly is this, is there any faster + cheaper way to get to London, from Lincoln?

Secondly, what would be the best way to stay in London for cheap, hostels etc, thanks :)

get a train to peterbororugh (FCC only - open return) and get the same from peterborough to kings cross, stay out of peak travelling hours and it will be cheaper as long as you stick to FCC trains

look at national express/megabus.

you should be able to get a coach for about 10-20 return.

nope, train, bus or car.

you could try flying see what a quote comes up as but it'll be more expensive than coach.

as for staying get a hotel on the outskirts of the tube.

is it not cheaper to just watch the episodes online?
Yes, but where is the fun in that, when we can meet the crew.... not that they are actualy that important but meh, tis a fun thing to do :D

+ I have never been to London before, and want to see it :D

Just been to Brick Lane in London for a night out with some mates. What a disgusting dump this city is, I hate it more each time I go. On the one hand it's a cosmopolitan arena of individuality, on the other hand it's a dirty smelly noisy claustrophobic dive. Fun though, and ony £15 return from Birmingham:)

The area around King's Cross is grim in the extreme.

You can't really judge London when you've only visiting two of the nastiest bits, did you go down to the South Bank or up to Green Park? lovely areas.

Brick Lane is only good for the food, the actual environment is a dive i agree, however if you walk 10 minutes southwards you'll hit the City (square mile) which has won countless cleansing and architectural design awards.

?Get a megabus, it'll take a while but its cheap as heck.

Whilst your there go into the New Era cap shop and steal me some hats
