London Hotel

Yeh the Ritz, cant get anymore luxurious than that. Failing that try any of the hotels on park lane in London...some pretty nice rooms and prices to go with it:p

Backpackers or regents palace
dirt cheap and you get what you pay for.......

(yes I am taking the ****)

The Dorchester is pretty damned good. As is the Savoy. The Ritz of course is an institution. Claridges is pretty good and Gordon Ramsay runs that restaurant too.

What about The Dorchester? Tis very nice.

I stayed in The Millennium Hotel, just around the corner from Harrods while attending a training course in London. Although its a 'Thistle' Hotel I think, it was very very nice.

Blakes in south ken was basically the first boutique hotel thats quite a nice joint.. if you can be a little more specific in ** needs :)

The Cumberland is billed as quite luxury but it's a bit of a dump if you ask me. Dated, slightly smelly, dark and the food wasn't up to much.

Well at £500 a night I was hoping for it to be a 5* hotel (doesn't have to be)

Just looking for somewhere quite central with a very nice room (maybe a Jacuzzi in the bathroom ;) )

when did you go? Didn't they refurb it not a long time ago?

For an occasion to remember, Ritz and Dorchester would be best. They are in a league of their own when it comes to quality and service. If you really want to spend £500 a night, you can get a mini Suite in either hotels for that price.

As already suggested, other choices include Claridges, Mandarin Oriental, Threadneedles and Savoy. If it gets any worse, InterContinental Hotel isn't a bad 5-star hotel but it lacks prestige. Avoid Park Lane Hotel (Sheraton) at any cost, not worth the price.
