London Marathon 2014

I'll probably be coming to spectate. Not sure where I'll be going to, but I normally like to come in by bike so I can start at Rotherhithe, make a beeline for the old East End a bit up from Tower Bridge and then head in for a bit of action along the Embankment.

I'm running it for the Stroke Association - like you it will be my first marathon, hoping to do it in 4 hours. Really looking forward to it now!

I'm running Brighton the week before London. It will be my first Marathon. I've run about 6 halfs (best time 1:46) and 18 miles last weekend in 2:45.

I'm really hoping for 4 hours but I think it's highly unlikely, still you never know. By the end of the 18 miler I was very upset and couldn't run faster than 10 min miles so I'm thinking around 4:10 is all I can hope for.

Well done guys! Managed to pick up a bit of a knee injury the week before but was determined to do it anyway, and finished in 04:24:46. Amazing day, incredible support all the way round!

Fair play to anyone who ran the marathon, i'd love to try it but my knees are shot to pieces and i'd have to walk a fair portion of it, I don't really see the point in that :(

yeah, it was warm. 1st proper sweaty run of the year.

You should see the state of my 2nd biggest toe on my right foot! Toe nail was just growing back from dropping off a while ago. Now got a really deep massive blister under it. It's going to be fun figuring out how to pop/sort it out...
