Hello good people,

im whisking the wife away down to the big smoke at the end of july, there are literally hundreds of restaurants and i cant make my mind up which to choose.

we like most types of food (not seafood though)

can anyone suggest anywhere?

depends where you are when you're hungry. Lots of great places so no real point commuting too far for your supper. also any price range?

Saying that:

I'd suggest Ev (if you like Turkish food). It's part of a small chain but their Ev restaurant has a great outdoor seating area that will be great in the early evening. It's just behind Southwark tube, under railway arches and next to a small row of bars and lots of plants etc.

Pizza Express on the south bank overlooking St Pauls and the river at night. Go upstairs and get a window table. And it's cheap! This is a serious suggestion. (Zizzi is next door but fewer window seats)

Thanks, we're travelling from gloucester for the night so i dont mind getting the tube to other places.

well ive been looking at the OXO tower restaurant. the lack of items on the menu is putting me off at the moment. i guess thats my budget.

yeh around £100 pp would be about right for that place..

its just a lacking menu. which seems to be the case with more expensive place.

i want really good quality food, good service and nice beer. i dont mind how cheap but dont really want anything over £100pp.
