Hi!

After some advice on some travel arrangements really.

Heading to London on the 25th of May for Field Day Festival at Victoria Park, but want to do Comic Con at Excel on the 26th.

I'll be arriving into London at Hammersmith too which looks like a trek across London to either of the above.

I'd be needing a cheap and cheerful hotel somewhere centrally too.

I'll be looking into this more when I'm not so tired, but if anyone has any suggestions to get me started, that would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Holiday Inn - Stratford/Westfield, not exactly central but shouldn't be too expensive, plus the benefit of easy access to the under and overground.

It's quite a nice location, 20 mins or so away from central and about 15 minutes away from excel. You also have Westfield at your doorstep for food/shopping.

The term of hotel + central london + cheap - simply does not exist :p

Go slightly outside of London as suggested for a much better rate - traveling will be peanuts. :)

The Stratford option is a good idea, it has great connections to both venues and the shopping centre which is handy.

There's that air bed one where you stay at someone's house.
No link I'm afraid.
Try easy hotels or a Travelodge

Ive stayed in the Travelodge at covent gardens for £70, like most Travelodges very basic but was clean and pretty easy to get to anywhere from there.

I went to Field Day a couple of years ago. It was hipster central but very good fun.

As others say, Stratford is very convenient for both locations and the Westfield center has some nice restaurants. There's an Ibis in Stratford that's probably super cheap but unfortunately it's Bad Stratford, not Good Stratford. There's also a Holiday Inn Express along the High Road but it's quite a dodgy walk to the station. The hotels actually attached to Westfield are probably your best bet.

Or you could sleep in the casino. :p

Thanks everyone for the replies! All very helpful :)

Stratford sounds unanimous, I'd try and pull at field day but I'm taken. Oh and they'll be with me ;)

I see Stratford travelodge for £70 but I'll check out laterooms.

Thanks

You can stay for free under some bridge overnight, I am sure no one will kill you there... Also welcome to london xD
