Spent the day on Dartmoor yesterday, while my wife was on a course up there... Sadly it rained almost all day, but it did ease enough to grab a few pictures at what must be one of the most lonely places in southern England.... Foxtor Mires, which inspired 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' Grimpen Mire.
The road goes nowhere, and I was the only person there... its the sort of place that makes you look over your shoulder now and then, at least on a day when the cloud scuds across the peaks, and the only sound is the wind and the odd raven.
