Long booting times.. again..

Hey guys.

Booting my PC was taking a long time so I came on here and someone suggested Bootvis. I downloaded it and it worked a treat! Before I used the program the 'Welcome to Windows XP' black screen would stay on for about 30 seconds but after using Bootvis it'd be up for about 5-6 seconds.

Anyways, I was looking through this thread the other day: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17180569 I was going through some of the tweaks, disabling services and what not but since I've done it I've noticed the loading times have increased again. Sometimes I'll have to wait up to wait about 40-50 seconds on the Windows XP loading screen. I thought I'd be able to just use Bootvis again to fix it but the thing is that Bootvis seems to speed up the booting process the first 1-2 times I boot up after using it, but then it goes back to being really long again..

Anyone know what is wrong? I know it's a long shot but perhaps someone possibly knows of a service I might have disabled which would increase the boot time?

Cheers.

I used to experience slow boot times getting into XP (20-30 seconds), and solved it by installing the nForce4 IDE drivers (the ones I have seen people advise not to install!) - seems to have worked, and XP is still snappy.
