Long Boring Drive/Impressive MPG

I've been getting 36 out of the Alfa while ragging it around Liverpool lately. Amazing what cold air and correctly functioning electrics can do.

Also managed 412 miles from a single tank.

Over 308 miles.

On the way back from the meet yesterday I got 38mpg over a 200 mile run in the diesel. What do I win? By the book it's 52mpg :D

Everything you do to do with cars just seems so totally 100% pointless, be it deciding to drive them 400 miles to have a pint a pub to sticking huge air filters on diesels, to driving them in the first place :p

I just did ~160 mile round trip on sunday @ 33mpg in a 330CI.

No matter what, I just can't force myself to set cruise control to 60-70mph and just sit in the left lane. I'd rather be home quicker and pay more then spend an extra half hr on the motorway.

I find fox's MPG more impressive than the OP. Out of a 3 litre petrol that is fantastic.

The best I've EVER had out of mine was 30.5 on a trip to South wales along the M4 (a lot of 50mph average cameras:() I usually get 21-23.
