Hi,

Looking for advice with regards to cables for a monitor. 3m currently due to PC location.

The monitor is an MSI MPG 274URF QD display 4k at 160hz, has HDMI 2.1, Display Port 1.4a I believe. It's not yet out the box behind me due to not having any longer cables I can use.

Just wondering what is generally accepted as the best option for acheiving 4k 160hz at 3 meters for such a monitor? Should I be looking at 1.4dp or 2.1dp if they are backwards compatable or for future compatability?

I have fibre-optic DP 1.4 cables that are 10m long. I have yet to find any that do the full UHBR20 but Everpro, who made the FIBBR cables I use, do make 40 Gbps (UHBR 10) DisplayPort cables and 48 Gbps HDMI cables
