Im looking to upgrade my PC from a 3.0ghz P4 1 gig DDR Radeon 9800 pro to a
AMD X2 3800+
Geil 2GB DDR Dual channel
Sapphire X1800XT 256mb
Im hoping this spec will last me a few years although i know future proof no longer exists with DX10 and Vista coming etc. but do you think this will play most games for a long time?
My current spec does pretty well, i can have medium settings in games like BF2 but at the current prices of these products im thinking it could be time for an upgrade.
Should i spend a bit more money on a 512mb X1800 or even a X1900?
I know Conroe is around the corner but im not sure i will be able to afford the chip and a decent set of DDR2 RAM to get the best performance out of it.
Any input would be great thanks.
