Long microphone extension

I maybe moving my new build pc out of the room so as well as an active USB extension and optic DP to DP extension (both of 10 metres) what can I do about the microphone?

How do you have it plugged in just now. Many mics run a fair distance on stages etc.... Just try a longer cable ?

Just a regular jack.

The mics you'd find on a music stage use a balanced signal. This makes them much more resilient to interference. If it's just a regular jack then it'll be unbalanced so a long cable run will pick up loads of interference.

Probably the easiest option is to get a usb mic or usb sound card and extend the usb.
