Hey guys,

Just wanting some opinions and feedback on my new build i've been planning for quite some. I wont change anything major unless i'm missing a complete no brainer, I've chose these parts as that is what i want. I do already have a GTX570 to use so dont worry about that.

Will everything here work together ok?

Am i missing something stupid?

What are the main uses for this machine?

If you are mainly playing games at most, then an i5 3570K will be a better choice. As well as a cheaper alternative ram, although if you want flashy ones, well, you gotta get them! :D
 
Looks nice. I would go for a more 'exciting' case though. Also, off topic, but why Shaolindreams? Do you study martial arts? :D

Yeh a few people have mentioned the CPU and i also know it myself. I am a hardcore gamer but i'm going to get into some video production and graphic design work too. Just want a beast of a CPU as possible for all my needs, i was originally going to get the the X79 platform so i've already compromised. I did had HT on an old Pentium before and it did help so roll on 8 threads :D

As for the Ballistix i have them now, you might be it looks over the top but it isnt, it gives the computer a bit character and i can see if its going bonkers from across the room. Stare at them whilst i play BF3 and youll be in a state of hypnosis in no time, your 680 is now my 680 ok :p These new Ballistix have programmable patterns now which is going to be fun.

Thanks mate, It's partly aesthetics too i choose some parts. This one i wanted black theme with some minimal red LED lighting. I went for the Sabertooth partly for the design and because i've always bought ASUS mobos i know where i am with them and up till now they've served me well. Yeah that Fatality one looks mint i do believe i did consider it at one point.

So no brainers or obvious mistakes then? :)

Choosing the case was probably the longest and hardest part lol :p I usually go for more exciting techy military type themes but now i've decided to go for a more sleek elegant look. I'll post a exciting pic of it when its done.

My gamer name i've had it since 56k modem days. Yeah i've studied some Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do. Have a passion for Kung Fu and various fighting techiques/systems in general. I'm a bit of a dreamer too :D

Nice! I study Nam Pai Chuan Shaolin Kung Fu. It's a large school with centres all over the UK. :cool:
