I need a long reach hedge trimmer and saw. Battery powered ideally. I was looking at the Dewalt but they are a little expensive at about £300 for the saw and an additional £200 for the bare trimmer.
Anyone have a good make they can recommend?

Can vouch for the ryobi one+ extended hedge trimmer and also the pole pruner. Can pick up the non branded 5.0a batteries fairly cheap too.

Got screwfix cheapest pole saw for like £40 and use a 30m outdoor waterproof protected extension lead with double socket.

Alternatively you can spend £300 on a cordless version which is no doubt weaker and only lasts for 15 minutes between charges.

I've cut down 7 trees using the pole saw. Yeah it's meant to be for branches but it had no issues with proper tree trunks.

Ryobi One+ pole saw here. Considerably cheaper than £300 and yet to run out a 5Ah battery before I've finished / got bored.

Great bit of kit and easily takes off 4 or 5" branches without even breaking sweat. Problem when you get to that size is not getting taken out when they fall! Got the chainsaw too and that's also brilliant. Much easier then faffing around with extension leads. Been there and done that and its a pain!

£60 for the cheapest corded in Screwfix, I paid £100 ish, next day delivered for the Ryobi.
