Trying to play sim city 4 on a vista 64 bit pc, it just keeps on crashing out and getting stuck on a sound Fx and then I have to reboot pc.

Looked all over google tried runing XP mode and a s admin etc etc no luck

Anyone have any ideas??

I would but CBA with dual boot blah blah , there must be a fix out there somewhere.........

Not sure which ver of simcity and i found this (but guess you did all of them already?) how about d/l those crack from gamecopyworld.com?

Hi folks.

So i present the solution for Windows Vista 64bit with the Game Sim City 4 - Rush hour. I have the NAM Mod installed. Tested gameplay 20 hours. No crashes, smother gameplay and nVidia dualview includeed (without window mode not supported).

- Install all important updates for Windows Vista 64bit
- Get the optional Update KB940105
- The following updates should be installed:
KB938194
KB938979
KB941600
KB941649
KB943302
KB943899
KB937287
- Sim City 4 run as “Administrator”
- Comaptibility Mode Windows-XP SP2

Thats all. Pls reply your efforts…

I'd suggest compatibility mode as per the previous post.

Works perfectly here without any compatibility modes.

Tried all of those , apprenlty there is a issue with it.First thought it was my overclock so put everything back to stock and it still does it.

Doing my head in as I love this game

im also having no problems, not patched sim city but got sp1 for vista home premium 64 bit
