Hey y'all,

First of all, call me Joe. Unsure how I ended up with the extremely formal forum name. I normally game/post as Joclemen, and you wouldn't need to be too astute to figure out where that's derived from.

I'm a 38-year old he/him, currently living in Bath, but originally from Coventry. I work for an Energy supplier (boo and/or hiss), but I promise we're one of the good ones. I specifically work on the Smart Metering side of things, so I guess if you've got energy/Smart questions, I might be able to help? Happy to, by any rate.

I love gaming. Currently enjoying TBC Classic on PC and the odd bit of Planetside 2 where I can fit it in. One of those wasteful people with both a PS5 and XBoX Series S, neither of which are currently used (by me) for gaming, but I'm looking forward to giving Returnal a go. I have 2 D&D campaigns going currently, one with some people from work, and another with my friends from back home (who are now scattered around the country - looking forward to being able to play in person again soon!).

Also huge music fan. Being born in the West Midlands in the 80s, I'm contractually obliged to be a metalhead, but I think every genre has enough to keep me interested. I get tired of music very quickly, so I'm always looking for new things to listen to. I actually think Rap has been the most innovative space in that regard in the last decade, so much so I wrote my dissertation about it. Always happy to talk music.

Look forward to meeting some more of you.

Joe

Oh, and I did look up my first order with OC. Back in Jan 2005, for some rounded cables - including a floppy drive cable. Did I really have a floppy disk drive that recently? That I cared enough about to buy a rounded cable? Jeez Louise.

I'm pretty sure I've not purchased a floppy drive this millennium. I do still have a bit pile of writable CDs that I guess some day will make nice novelty coasters
