BTW before you think it....

The card had a rebate on. I didn't approve of him spending nearly 5090 money on a 5080 (it's an Astral) but even the basic white one cost the same. In fact, the 4080 Super Strix was the same too.
 
Oh he won't be doing that. The only water cooled build he has ever had was one I built him back in 2003 or 4. It used the Lian Li fishtank side panel I modded into a cheap case that looked very similar to the LL one, without the stupendous tax.


Same as that. We then used a bay mounted rad/pump/res made by Kingwin IIRC on his Athy XP.

I recently stumbled on the spec sheets (shopping basically) for some Athlon Shuttle PC (XPC) so I'm at least as old as you.... alright, I'll give you a slight edge, but it's negligible right?! :D
The first watercooled stuff I built was far closer to fishtanks and car rads than it was to the PC-specific stuff we have now.... although all the fittings still have their roots in pneumatic fittings even now.
