Hi

My friend has been using a Netgear 834 ? modem\router for a few months now on AOL without any problems. Now she wants to move a few things around in her living room and needs a longer cable to connect the modem to the phone socket. Therefore my question is do ocuk sell such a cable and if so what is the description of the cable ?

Thanks

It's been called an "RJ11 cable", but depending who makes it you get all sorts of names - Belkin calls them a "high speed internet modem cable".
It's essentially just a length of Cat5e [1] with RJ11s crimped on the end.

As far as I can see though, the shop don't sell them. The other option is leave the router where it is and use a longer cable between the router and machines (or wireless).

1. You can get away with telephone extension cable, but it's by no means ideal, especially if you're on a rate adaptive service like Max.
