beyond the fact they wont bother unless necessary, the UK might as eaisly impose a greater restriction. Most liekly scenario in cases like this the UK just adopts the EU policy, merely without the ability to make changes to the EU policy.
Nobody is about to produce a special model for the uk market it wouldn't be worth the hassle same as we won't see a return of high powered vacuums and tungsten incandescent light bulbs!
