Longest shift you've worked?

Actually, I'd put you further up the list as far as difficulty goes. I worked at McDonalds. I know what fast food is like. To do 38 (or even 34) hours would be grounds for insane asylum admittance for me!!

Hats off to you, mate. I couldn't have done it.

Even doing 12 hour shifts with an overnight stay in between doesn't add up to 38?
hehe somebody cant count eh fox...

24 hours in a day, how long does he think a night would take...

My longest is around 10-12 hours working as a kitchen porter at a high clas 4 star devon coastal hotel who treat their workers like crap...

got paid around 40 just for that shift so cant be too bad...

51 hours in one go with a short 2 hour power nap in the middle. Good few years back when the poop hit the fan at work Friday late afternoon and didn't leave until lunchtime Sunday. :(

Was that Saunton Sands?

Longest work shift is only 7 hours. Been up working constantly for 20 hours for a project for uni though. Still not much in comparison to some mentioned on here.

I worked it based on 12 hour shift, close, 12 hour shift... not sure whats wrong with my maths, although Gilly has now explained how it worked.

I've never done more than 12 hours, and I wouldn't want to in my current job. I've only ever done more than 8 hours as night shift, since it's generally quiet, so I don't have to actually work for most of it.
