Longevity of 7970 xfire

Hi all,

To cut a long story short ive got some funds burning a hole in my pocket and am considering grabbing another gcard now while ive got the money

However im wondering how long its likley to be untill a xfire set up starts to struggle with games? I only play at 1080p but like to play with as many settings maxed as possible. I play mostly bf3 but will obviously get bf4 when its out and am downloading crysis 3 as i type this.

Current specs are

3570k @4.7
Z77x d3h
8gb mem
Windforce 7970 @ 1200/1500 daily clocks

Would be looking at grabbing a gigabyte 7950 (providing they arent v locked and blocks are available)

hmm just been looking on the ek cooling configurator and they don't make a block for the gigabyte 7950 which seems strange!

anyone know which 7950's have waterblocks available? the eks cooling config seems to keep coming back with " we don't make a block for this card"

Only reason im thinking of a 7950 is my 7970 is unlocked and afaik volt unlocked 7970's arent available anymore?

Fancied x fire for a while just dont wanna gimp my current card
